On Sunday, my 7 year old cat, Bonnie, was given an injection of Metacam, and 3 pre-filled oral syringes were sent home with me.  I gave her one oral dose on Monday. Tuesday she quit eating and started throwing up bile.  Wednesday night I took her back to the vet and they gave her fluids and took blood.  Today I was told that Bonnie had acute kidney failure and that her kidneys may no longer produce urine.  She had intensive fluid therapy today and she did urinate, but she has lost 1 lb in 2 days and will still not eat.

 

I am devastated.  She is my baby.
