My name is Debbie and I would like to talk to you about Metacam.  My little boy Chippy died from the poisoning of Metacam last August 15, 2008 and I cant seem to stop grieving.  I want to tell someone the story because it was so horrifying.  I had a necropsy done and lab tests that came back that it was acute poisoning etc.  I feel my vet is responsible (there is more to the story) and was wondering if you could help me in finding some legal advice about this issue.  He didn't deserve to die ( I watched helplessly) this way.  He was 2 days from being 1 year old.  I miss him so much.  I was wondering if you could help me.  I need to know if there is a mandatory consent form that needs to be signed before giving oral Metacam to kitties in MICHIGAN.  The vet that prescribed this to him is an ass.
