We did use Metacam, unknowingly
that it would harm our beloved house cat of 7 years. Now
she is at the vet for at least 5 days on an iv with beginning
renal failure and he is hoping to flush her out and and jump
start her kidneys. We had her on it from 4-6-09 to
4-23-09 per dr instructions and took her off when she started
vomiting and urinated on herself and just layed there.
We don't know what will happen but we love her with all our
hearts and are worried sick. i called the manufacturer
like your website stated and they took all our information and
are going to contact our vet today.
the vet did bloodwork before he prescribed Metacam and her
kidneys were fine. now her levels are really high.
i asked them about medical bills and they said they would talk
to the vet about that also.
My kittys name is Creek, we named
her that because when she was one month old, someone saw her
rushing down the the creek in a flood and rescued her.
she survived that at one month old, we pray she will survive
this too.

Dave,
I just wanted to share my GOOD
NEWS with you. After our cat had 3 days of continuous
IV at the Vet Hospital, they checked her BUN and CREA
levels, which were off the charts on Monday,
and her levels were back to normal. We were able to
bring her home tonight.
It is truely a MIRACLE. Keep up the good work and get
the message out there. The vet confessed that he felt
responsible because he prescribed her the metecam and is
going to contact the drug company and try to get some
reimbursement. He is not charging us a thing. He
is a good doctor who really does care about animals.
You should have seen him and the others at the hospital,
the grins were a mile wide. Finally, another sucess
story!
Thanks for caring!
