Dave,

I just reviewed your site, and please keep this going. I only wished that my friend Charlotte and I knew about your site before her cat Lilly was killed by Metacam.

Lilly had her teeth cleaned on Monday, June 2, 2008 and was doing fine. On Thursday, June 12, 2008, Charlotte obtained Metacam when she said that Lilly appeared to be in pain from her teeth being cleaned. She administered the dosage at 10:00 p.m. on June 12, 2008 and at 8:30 p.m. on June 13, Lilly was dead. I was at work that night teaching, and left my class early to rush Lilly to the Vets. The examining doctor said that Lilly still had fluids coming out of her mouth even after death. The vet said that Lilly must have had a weak heart, but now with your site and other sites, we know that Metacam is a dangerous drug.

Can you please post Lilly's story. She had four beautiful years with Charlotte. We bought her at a Petco and after her first visit, we knew that Lilly had problems with her teeth but Charlotte had her treated with other medications for years.

She is very sad over Lilly. She has five other cats: Isis, Brady, Destiny, Arthur, and Mittens.

Sincerely,
Bob
